In general

The analyses of Colony count (culturable microorganisms) should be performed by use of pour-plate technique. The analyses of Coliform bacteria and Escherichia coli with commercial "rapid" methods should be quantified by MPN. All other analyses should be performed by use of membrane filtration method.

Challenging samples - blue labels

All analytical parameters can be checked by use of white labelled samples only. Samples with blue labels are more challenging and are included for educational purposes or to show particular properties. However, the results from these samples will be treated and evaluated in the same manner as samples with white labels.
